Sunday, December 5, 2004
- Added a navbar to the top of every page.
- Created sections for each group of pages, which you can navigate between with the friendly navbar.
- Redesigned the layout of the all-on-one-page dictionary. It now reads more like a standard bilingual dictionary. But since it is less compact than the previous two-column tabular layout, I'm going to maintain both versions. (This is not a hassle, since both versions are automatically generated every time I update the lexicon. :) )
Saturday, December 4, 2004
- Added 43 entries to the dictionary, bringing the computerized lexicon total to 777.
- Added a link to the raw Shoebox version of the lexicon data.
- Added new information to the lexicon size graph.
- All browsers except IE will now see images in PNG format. In cases where IE's incomplete support for transparent PNGs hurts the image in question, IE users will see a transparent GIF instead. The quality isn't as good, but it's better than seeing an incorrectly rendered image.
Friday, December 3, 2004
- Added 69 entries to the dictionary, bringing the computerized lexicon total to 734.
- New links on the lexicon page to the entire lexicon, as XML and HTML
- Created a stress rules page.
- Added examples for each stress rule.
- Added a graph of when new words have been added to Asha'ille. It is generated automatically by the same script that parses the lexicon data file.
Thursday, December 2, 2004
- Added 24 entries to the dictionary, bringing the computerized lexicon total to 665.
- Created this Recent Changes page.
- Moved the sig image to the top of each page.
- Made the sig image a link back to the main page.
- Fixed alphabetical order (English-based) for the dictionary.
- Removed the currently viewed word from the suggested words in the "perhaps you were looking for..." section.
- Fixed all the accent-mark problems. Yay! They are now stored in the source text file as ISO-8859-1 (Latin1) and displayed on this site as HTML entities, so it shouldn't matter what encoding you use.
- Fixed erroneous pronunciation guides; glottal stops now appear everywhere they should.
- Removed "Powered by Apache" icon from the footer. It made the entire footer to big for small screens/resolutions.
Wednesday, December 1, 2004
- Created the kateinu yiréb page.
- Added an "Arth" signature to each page.
- Made footer standardized across site.
- Added an alternative stylesheet at Chuck's request. It does not
add any styling to the IPA entries, so that your browser will
choose a default font for you. The default stylesheet specifies
font-family: ClearlyU;, which is the "good" IPA font on my (Linux) machine. Strangely, whenfont-familyis specified, it no longer seems to resize in Firefox.
